Enrolment process for international students
Step 1 |
The international student or his/her agent sends Aotea College an enrolment application form. |
Step 2 |
Aotea College sends the student a conditional offer of place and an invoice for the fees. (By email, post or fax). |
Step 3 |
The international student pays the fees into the school's bank account, the details of which are on the invoice. (There are several options, but usually this is done by direct credit). |
Step 4 |
Aotea College sends the student a confirmed offer of place and a receipt for payment of the fees. (By email, post or fax). |
Step 5 |
The international student then applies for a student visa from the NZ embassy of High Commission in his/her country. (If the student visa application is declined, all fees are refunded). |
Step 6 |
The international student is granted a student visa and informs Aotea College of this sending a copy by post or fax or email. |
Step 7 |
Aotea College makes the homestay accommodation arrangements and informs the student of these. |
Step 8 |
The international student arranges to come to New Zealand and informs Aotea College of the details. |
Step 9 |
The Homestay Manager of Aotea College meets the student at Wellington airport and takes the student to his/her homestay accommodation |
Step 10 |
On the next school day, the student commences lessons at Aotea College |
