Aotea College Fees 2010

 

While it is the Government’s intention that education in New Zealand should be free at state schools, parents will be aware schools do have to make charges for a number of items.

FEES (All fees are GST inclusive)

 

1. Student Activities Fee - One Student xxxxxxXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXxxxx $150.00

The Student Activities Fee is a donation and is tax deductible.  It is used to assist in the following areas:

(A) The purchase of equipment for sporting and cultural purpose

(B) The financing of sports and cultural trips

(C) The purchase of library books

(D) Production of the school magazine

(E) Any other expenditure deemed acceptable by the Board

 

2. College Association Donation - Donation per family XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX $20.00

3. Yearbook Levy - per student XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX$20.00

4. Internet Levy - per student XXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX $20.00

5. Year Planner - per student XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX $5.00 (Donation)

6. NCEA Fees - per student XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX $75.00

7. Subject Fees - These fees are charged only for those subjects with a large take home component. The fees are NOT tax deductable.

8. Itinerant Music Fees

Keyboard, Guitar or Vocal	Y9 – Y13	$50.00 per year
Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet or Saxophone	Y9 -  Y13	$85.00 per year
Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet or Saxophone	Y9 -Y13	$50.00 per year if students have their own instrument
