The Enrolment Process
Aotea College’s enrolments are controlled by an enrolment scheme which helps us manage the growth of the school.
All enrolments for Year 9 2012 students must be received at Aotea College by Monday 1st August 2011.
Priority for enrolment is specified under the Education Act. Anyone may apply but students are accepted in the following order -
students who live within the home zone
students who have a current sibling at Aotea College
students who have a former sibling at Aotea College
students who are the children of an Aotea College employee
any other students
When enrolling you must send the enrolment form, a copy of your child’s birth certificate and something to confirm your address (eg copy of a power bill)
A ballot will be held on Friday 19th August to finalise enrolments.
Successful students will be notified by Wednesday 24th August. Enrolment interviews for all successful students will take place in October and November and testing occurs in late November. Students and contributing schools will be notified of the time for these.
Each year many students (including siblings) miss out on enrolment because their forms are not received on time. Please help your child get accepted by getting the forms to us by Monday 1st August 2010.
