What can I do in the library?
You can do lots of things in the library. Here are some examples:
- Read the daily notices,
- listen to Audiobooks,
- get help with resources for your assignments,
- read the yearbooks of other schools,
- play games, puzzles, chess and cards at lunchtimes,
- sit in a comfortable armchair and read books and magazines,
- use the photocopiers and laminator (charges apply),
- work on the computers for assignments (with teachers or
library staff permission only),
- and in winter, come and join one of our lunchtime craft groups.
What can I borrow from the Library and for how long?
You can borrow up to three books which must be returned within three weeks. You can borrow audio tapes for three days and magazines for five days.
When can you use the library computer and why?
There are sixteen computers in the Library available for student use. You can use the computers for school work; you will not be allowed to use the computers for any other uses such as playing games or going on Bebo. And most importantly, if you want to access the internet you must have approval from the supervising teacher or a librarian.
What can’t you do in the Library?
- You are not allowed to eat or drink in the library,
- you can’t use cell phones or personal music players,
- you can't take your bags into the library; they must be left in the bag bay by the entrance (you shouldn't leave valuable items in your bags).
How do I borrow items from the library?
- Take your items to the issue desk,
- do not let people borrow items in your name,
- return all items to the library on or before their due date,
- you will be charged for lost items, so take care of them,
- items can only be renewed once.
